Through this contract, MetaPhase will provide comprehensive website support services, including Drupal design, development, and maintenance. The project will focus on website theming and responsive design, data visualization, processing, and API development, as well as application and system consolidation.
Another aspect of the partnership involves integrating the FAS website with USDA’s shared Drupal platform, the Enterprise Web Application Platform and Services (eWAPS). MetaPhase will ensure compatibility with ongoing services deployed in the eWAPS hosting environment by modifying configurations of Drupal-environment dependent service containers to meet version requirements.
The ongoing web modernization project between MetaPhase Consulting and the FAS Communications team has significantly enhanced the integrity of FAS data projects and improved the quality of their APIs. It has been instrumental in ensuring FAS is compliant with the 21st Century Integrated Digital Experience Act (IDEA) and USDA’s broader web modernization requirements. By leveraging cutting-edge technologies and industry best practices, the project has laid the foundation for a more cost-effective, efficient, and user-friendly experience for FAS and its information audience.
“We’re honored to play a role in USDA’s digital transformation. By modernizing their web platforms, we’re ensuring that FAS can deliver critical information more efficiently, securely, and with an enhanced user experience," said Brett Mclaren, Chief Strategy Officer at MetaPhase Consulting.
This contract marks another milestone in MetaPhase Consulting’s growth and commitment to helping federal agencies innovate and thrive in the digital age.
